Is PlantMaster part of Vectorworks, or is it another fee?
PlantMaster is a stand alone software program. So you will need an active PlantMaster subscription to use the plugin.
How does the plugin work?
Once you sign up for PlantMaster and install the plugin, you’ll be able to access the entire plant library from inside Vectorworks. Or you can build your plant palette in PlantMaster and instantly bring your plants into your Vectorworks drawing. For each plant, you’ll be able to assign a plant style that Vectorworks will remember when you go to use the plant again.

Where can I find this plugin?
Once you’ve signed up for a PlantMaster account, you’re ready to install the plugin. Back in Vectorworks, click on “Help” from the top menu, and select “Install Partner Product”, and find PlantMaster from the options, then follow the steps to install! We’ve worked really hard to include the RIGHT plants. We don’t claim to have every plant, but chances are we have most of the plants you use in your projects. We’ve worked with designers across the country to ensure we’re adding the most important plants first – and we’re adding more plants every day!
Give the plant search a try! Sign up for the free trial and run a quick search for some of your most used plants. If you can’t find your plants, don’t give up on us yet! Send us your plant list! (Seriously, send us a sample plant list) We’ll take a look and work out a plan to add the plants you need. Of course, if we truly don’t have your plants, just cancel your account – with no hassle!
Can I change the plant information?
YES! You can can change anything in an ePlant. You can update any plant details, add your own data or images, remove or change the order of any images. Bottom line, you can make the plant data accurate FOR YOU.

Can I add my own plants?
Of course! Just remember to add as much detail as you can. (We know you’re in a hurry) Remember that everything you fill out about the plant will be used in the search filters, so the more data you include, the more the plant search will work for you!
What are plant presentations? Can I see one?
YES! Here is an example of an online plant presentation >. Send a link to your customer where they can explore the plants and tons of imagery! Click on the plant images to see more photography or review the plant details. Explore fun reports like the Month of Bloom and Water Requirements.
And one more fun fact – any changes you make to the project will automatically update in the presentations. Which means that when you need to revise a few plants, you won’t need to resend the link. Just add the plants and let your customer know to take a look!
